Numark iDJ Live II - Setting Up Your Headphone Cue

Topic: No sound from Headphones- Mixtrack Pro - Page: 1 MikeSaraiva Home user Member since 2012 Hello, I am sorry to add a new topic when it has clearly been brought up before but I searched for about two hours and could not find a fix to my problem and became easily frustrated. Jun 14, 2018  The headphone cues work, but I have to manually switch them 'on'. The WEGO4 does not have a 'mix/cue' knob and I have to do this on Rekordbox. When I switch the setting to mix, I can hear the sound of the track that's playing through the speakers on my headphones. When i switch the setting to cue, I can not hear anything through my headphones. DJ Cable lets you cue up your next track in the headphones independently of what’s playing through the speakers. Made specially for djay, DJ Cable is wired to enable djay’s Split Output function for pre-cueing. It now also features gold connectors for improved conductivity and better signal, as well as a braided exterior for durability. Jun 15, 2015  Hello im a beginner. Note: iPad is capable of mono cue-ing only.

  1. Connect the iDJ Live II to your iPad.
    • Connect iDJ Live II's mini-USB port to the 30-pin or Lightning cable.
    • Then connect the 30-pin or Lightning cable to an iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch.
Important: If your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch does not recognize iDJ Live II as connected, then disconnect the 30-pin or Lightning cable from your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch (not from iDJ Live II) and reconnect it.
  2. Install Algorridim djay 2, open the app, and load your music.
    • On your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch, go to the app store and download the djay 2 for iPad or djay 2 for iPhone app.
    • Once the app is downloaded, tap it to open it, then load a song into the left and right channels by tapping on the music symbol icon and choosing a song. Press Play to begin a song.
  3. To Cue the next song in your headphones:
    • Connect the included audio splitter cable to the headphone output on the iPad.
    • Connect one end of the splitter to your speaker output and the other to your headphones.
    • Tap the Tool icon in djay 2 to bring up the settings window. Turn the Split Output option on.From this window, you can adjust the volume level of the cue mix in your headphones, as well as the balance of the Main Mix and the Cue Mix. Adjust to your preference!Note: Because the iPad is incapable of sending multiple stereo outputs, while cue-ing, the audio will be in mono only.

The djay Pro loop controls feature a simple set-up consisting of three buttons: loop length decrease, loop activate, and loop length increase. The loop length is shown in beats, and changing the size halves or doubles, from 1/16th of a beat up to 32 beats.

  2. Next, connect your speakers to the black end of the splitter cable and connect your headphones to the red end of the splitter cable.
  3. Now, in the Algoriddim djay app, choose djay > Preferences.. to open the Preferences window.
  4. In the Preferences window, click on the Devices tab and then set the Pre-Cueing drop-down menu to Split Output. Press Apply and close the Preferences window. This will split the stereo channel into 2 separate channels: one for the master output, the other for headphone pre-cueing. The left (black) channel is the master output, and the right (red) channel is the headphone output.
